I loved this book! There were a lot of misunderstandings between Gabrielle and Anthony, who were childhood friends. Gabby had always loved Anthony, her older brother's best friend. Anthony had married someone else, thinking he wasn't good enough & was too old for Gabby, but now he was a widow. They became secretly betrothed, but then Anthony disappeared without an explanation. Now he comes back with all of his issues settled, thinking things are status quo, but Gabby has begun to doubt him & accepts the attentions & false information about Anthony from Sebastian, who also courts her. There were some heart-breaking moments and some humor throughout the book, but you knew that they loved each other & hoped for things to work out. My favorite line from Gabby to Anthony - "You don't have to be afraid I'm not going to love you back. I have loved you all my life and I'll never stop."

Ok story
The characters were fun and interesting. Even the villain was a good guy. It was a fun read. I love Samantha Grace. Her books are always entertaining. Well be reading more from this author.
A feel good story with love, jealousy, fisticuffs, and an elopement. Really nice e piece. The only down part is I really liked Sebastian Thorne and hope he gets his own happy story.
I see now that I swore off reading more books by this author but I was tempted by the summary I received from . I decided to give her another chance. I have to say that this was better but I agree with the other reviewer who says it would've worked better as a novella. The story truly dragged on and on. The main characters declare themselves quickly but then misunderstandings happen and stupidity enters the picture. I wasn't blown away by the H's character. I didn't like the fact that he married someone else even though there were feelings between him and the h, no matter how young they were. He really didn't treat her at all well and she always came back for more.

A couple of things bugged me once again. Of course this author writes modern historicals so our main characters anticipate their vows. This despite the H giving his word that he wouldn't. In those days giving your word was considered sacred and the brother he gave his vow to, discovers them inflagrante in an inn. Doesn't say much for the H's character.
The other thing that got me was that although we know that the H didn't actually father his daughter, he keeps saying that if he had to choose he'd choose the daughter over the h. He had no relationship with the little girl as he hardly saw her and she was afraid of him. I think the author should just have left out those lines, they didn't add to the story.

Samantha Grace's One Rogue too Many features a love triangle that works well for the most part. Lady Gabrielle Forest has been in love with her brother's best friend, Anthony Keaton, the Earl of Ellis all her life. The two finally get together when Anthony leaves for four months without a word. during this time, Lady Gabrielle begins to be courted by Ellis' rival Lord Throne. Anthony returns to find the love of his life being courted by his friendly rival. At this point, Anthony realizes that he has his work cut out for him. Through an unusual set of circumstances, Lady Gabrielle finds herself engaged to the wrong man. However, Anthony and Gabrielle do prevail by the end to find their happily ever after.
Lady Gabrielle is a wonderful character who is loyal to her family, albeit a bit too much at times. She was willing to sacrifice her own happiness to appease her feelings of guilt. You could tell that she felt conflicted about wanting to find her own happiness but still satisfy the wishes of her family. Anthony was also a great character as he knows that his heart belongs to Lady Gabrielle. Overall, this was a great book and I look forward to reading the next in the series. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will be a book about Sebastian.
I agree with some of the other reviewers that this was not her best effort. l thought the plot sounded interesting, but wasn't as good as expected. While Gabby was hurt by Anthony in the past, she hurt many people with her behavior. I found her irritating and I felt sorry for Sebastian and his family. The story dragged at times and I was ready for the end.
Lady Gabrielle has been in love with Anthony Keaton, the Earl of Ellis, for as long as she can remember. She is broken hearted when he marries another when she is fifteen and had hoped he would wait for her. Anthony made a bad match and realizes too late that he truly loves the girl he thought just had a school girl crush on him. Can these two star crossed lovers find a way?
This is a well-written, compelling, and very three-dimensional love story. The tangle between Gabby, Anthony and her other very ardent suitor, Lord Thorne, made for some very entertaining reading. I enjoyed this tale and I hope Ms. Grace has plans to help Lord Sebastian Thorne in her next book as he was easy to fall in love with as well.
